Product Description

Of tapered form with a carved triple reeded band to the top above a brass band with shell and foliate cast handles above opposing spirally carved sides above a further brass band to the base.

Each bucket is carved to square panels with the Carew and Boyse crests on opposing sides indicating that they were commissioned by the Carew family of Ballinamona Park, County Waterford, Ireland.

Robert Thomas Carew 1747-1834, Member of Parliament for Dungarvan 1769-1776 and High Sheriff for Waterford 1779, built Ballinamona Park circa 1775 having married Frances Boyse of Bishops Hall, County Kilkenny in 1771.

Provenance: Carew family and then by family descent
