Product Description

Although a known model this George IV mahogany travelling games table can be considered extremely rare. The telescopic column and tripod legs fold to fit into the box which forms the top. The hinged legs screw to the table column and lock into their extended position when tight. The box fits neatly into a slot to the column top and a slide locks it into position. The chess board to the top is veneered with squares of Goncalo Alves and boxwood. Given the rarity, less than ten have been recorded, it is likely that they were produced by a single maker.
