Product Description

An early and particularly fine lowboy of very good color and patination.
The quarter veneered and line inlaid top above four drawers, all cross banded and line inlaid and retaining their original brasses, the corners canted and inlaid to represent fluting and supported by four elegant cabriole legs ending in pointed pad feet.
This piece is one of the finest lowboys we have seen and is distinguished not only by the quarter veneering to the top, but also by the decoration to the canted corners, the exquisite punch decoration to the knees of the legs and the distinctive points to the pad feet. A rather exceptional piece.

Provenance: Private Collection Chicago.
Acquired from Apter-Fredericks,
