Of very rare block front design with a cross banded fall-front with reading rest opening to reveal a central door enclosing a shelf, flanked by applied split baluster “secret drawers” and two further drawers to each side all above two block fronted drawers with paktong hard-ware throughout including the well-cast side handles.
The stand, a later English addition is mahogany and probably 19th century.
